Awards
This committee is responsible for awards and scholarships to SMBA members.

Community Outreach & Development Committee
This committee keeps lines of communication open between the SMBA and nonprofit organizations in our community that offer low income housing assistance, and recommends contributions to these organizations.

Mike Olden, Chair

Mike is a member the ARC management team where his primary responsibility is developing new business with mortgage bankers, banks, and credit unions.

He also assists with educational development and delivery. He teaches seminars for ARC clients, non-profit housing partners and first time homebuyers. He is certified to teach continuing education to real estate and mortgage lending professionals in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Mike has worked in the credit reporting field of the mortgage industry since 1984 and at American Reporting Company since 1997.

Mike is a former board member of the Puget Sound Mortgage Lenders Association, and the Washington Homeownership Center. He was president of SMBA in 2004 - 2005. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Washington Mortgage Lenders Association and the International District Housing Alliance.

Golf
This committee makes all arrangements for the annual golf tournament, obtains sponsorships, promotes the tournament, and oversees registration.

House
The House Committee arranges and manages the monthly dinner venues, assists with special events and works in conjunction with Membership to promote the growth and involvement of new and current members and guests. This is a great starting point to find out more about the SMBA.

Lisa has been the House Committee Chair since October 2006, and has been actively involved with the Auction, Membership, Scholarship/Awards and Golf Committees. She is also privileged to have the opportunity to work closely with Habitat for Humanity - the SMBA Auction beneficiaries. Her love of volunteer work and the opportunity to grow the SMBA organization stems from a long history of community outreach and her love of bringing people together.

She started her mortgage career in 1998 as a Loan Officer Assistant at Alpine Mortgage Services in Seattle. Since then, she has worked in Wholesale Operations, Sales, Marketing, Escrow, and Retail Originating. Currently, she continues to grow her business in partnership with Donovan Douvia (also the Branch Manger), of Golf Savings Bank in Kirkland. In January she was awarded a full year's scholarship for Building Champions - a mentoring and coaching program used by top professionals in the mortgage industry.

During her down time, Lisa loves spending time with her 2 young sons, Brandon and Payton. She also enjoys taking jazz, tap & lyrical dance classes, running, biking, traveling, attending her sons' sporting events, spending time with friends & family, and enjoying all the perks that Seattle offers!

Income Property
This committee keeps in contact with commercial lenders in our community, and offers a monthly meeting with topics of interest to these individuals.

Bob Rygg is Vice President and Market Manager for First Independent Bank's Income Property Department in the Bellevue office responsible for underwriting construction loans, acquisition/rehab and repositioning loans and placing permanent loans with life companies and conduits .Bob has been in the mortgage banking business for 30 years including 15 years at US Bank and 10 years at Seafirst.

He has a degree in Business Administration from Central Washington University and is the chairman of the Seattle Mortgage Bankers Income Property Committee and on the Board of Directors for Housing Resources Group.

Legal & Legislative
This committee monitors state and federal legislation that could impact our members businesses, and reports developments to the Board and membership.

Gary Fallon has counseled lenders in connection with loan documentation, syndications, workouts, bankruptcy and regulatory matters for more than 23 years. Gary has documented a wide-range of complicated financial transactions and has also been trusted by a number of lender clients to create and maintain template finance documentation for use in a number of states. Few attorneys nation-wide have as much experience working with lenders on large residential projects. Gary is actively involved in the lending industry and is a former President of the Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association. He received his B.A. from Yale University , and his J.D. from Harvard Law School .

Paul is currently Vice President and Corporate Counsel with Washington Federal Savings where he has worked for the last eight years. Prior to that, Paul was with Lane Powell in Seattle where his practice focused on the representation of financial institutions. Paul also worked as an in house lawyer for First Interstate Bank for six years handling commercial loan workouts, bankruptcy matters and checking account litigation. Paul graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Colorado and obtained his law degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane.

Anne Marie is the Business Development Manager for Golf Savings Bank. Anne Marie graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Arts in Community Services. She has an 11 year old daughter and volunteers a great deal in her local community and is currently the Co-President of Lakeview Elementary PTSA in Kirkland.Anne Marie is a native of Washington and grew up on the Eastside.

Certified Associate in Risk Management (ARM) 1996. Entered mortgage field in 2003. Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS)2006. Currently lives in North Bend, Washington with husband and two teens. Enjoys hiking, cooking and entertaining, and gardening.

Joe Krumbach has been in the mortgage industry since 1990. Krumbach is originally from Walla Walla, with family roots dating back to the mid 1800's in the Walla Walla Valley. In 2003, Krumbach married best friend and love of his life, Jerry. They enjoy traveling extensively, spending time with friends, and are involved with several non-profit organizations. Krumbach is an alumnus of Pasco High School, Columbia Basin College, and Washington State University.

Chris received his degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University. He recently received the Washington State Continuing Education Certification for Real Estate. Chris is a Master Graduate of Rapport Leadership International and is active in the office coaching program he developed. His goal is to build the Washington region through branch acquisition, Mortgage Advisor recruiting and fostering strategic partnerships that focuss on Mortgage Planning.

Deanna Powell has been with Stewart Title since November 2001, and for the past 3+ years has been an Account Manager in the Bellevue/Kirkland area, calling on Mortgage Bankers and Brokers. She has participated in SMBA events for 4 years now, 2 of which she has been a member and a Chair person assisting the Board with the monthly dinner meetings. She prides herself on her intergrity and sincere customer service, as well as her active role in various associations that work with the community in which she works and lives.
