This committee keeps lines of communication open between the SMBA and nonprofit organizations in our community that offer low income housing assistance, and recommends contributions to these organizations.

At ARC, Mike is involved in managing strategic relationships with large clients, non-profit partners and industry associations. In this role Mike is responsible for maintaining existing relationships and bringing new solutions to meet their individual needs. Mike also helps develop and deliver educational programs for ARC and he is certified to teach continuing education in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Mike has worked in the credit reporting field of the mortgage industry for twenty-four years, with the past eleven years at American Reporting Company.
Mike is a former board member of the Puget Sound Mortgage Lenders Association and the Washington Home Ownership Center. He was the President of the Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association in 2004-2005 and most recently served on MBA's Western Regional State & Local Advisory Council. |

David Howard, Vice President of Residential Construction Lending, represents Banner Bank in the Puget Sound market. He has over 24 years of mortgage experience in the Pacific Northwest; the last 7 years with Banner Bank. His experience covers all facets of the mortgage business from loan origination and branch management, to application technologies and servicing. David resides in Kirkland and enjoys skiing and hiking with his wife and two teenage children.

Debra Starr has a passion for real estate and mortgage lending. She has spent her entire adult career helping families achieve homeownership with Genworth Mortgage Insurance. Her broad experience includes knowledge in mortgage sales, training, marketing, underwriting, real estate investing and home staging/interior design.
The dream of homeownership means many things to many people. To Debra it means personal pride, community involvement, and the opportunity to build a nest egg for the future.
In her free time she participates on the WMLA Education Committee, supports various chapters of APMW, and volunteers at Arts West Theatre in West Seattle.
Debra resides with her partner Bruce, an inspiring Seattle architect and her two fur-babies, Desi & Lucy.

Gary Fallon has counseled lenders in connection with loan documentation, syndications, workouts, bankruptcy and regulatory matters for more than 23 years. Gary has documented a wide-range of complicated financial transactions and has also been trusted by a number of lender clients to create and maintain template finance documentation for use in a number of states. Few attorneys nation-wide have as much experience working with lenders on large residential projects. Gary is actively involved in the lending industry and is a former President of the Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association. He received his B.A. from Yale University , and his J.D. from Harvard Law School . |

Paul is currently Vice President and Corporate Counsel with Washington Federal Savings where he has worked for the last eight years. Prior to that, Paul was with Lane Powell in Seattle where his practice focused on the representation of financial institutions. Paul also worked as an in house lawyer for First Interstate Bank for six years handling commercial loan workouts, bankruptcy matters and checking account litigation. Paul graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Colorado and obtained his law degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane. |

Anne Marie’s sales, recruiting and management career spans 20 plus years in the Puget Sound Area. She recently joined Axia Financial as their Business Development Manager prior to holding the same role at Golf Savings Bank and First Horizon. She has been the Membership Chair for the SMBA since September 2006, is a Board Member of the Kirkland Boys and Girls Club and is a volunteer at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland, Anne Marie is very active in the mortgage industry and our local community. She and her 13 year old daughter live in Kirkland. |

Originally from Walla Walla, with family roots dating back to the mid 1800's in the Blue Mountain Valley, Krumbach began in the mortgage industry in 1990. Joe served as the President of the Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association from 2005-2006 and continues to Chair the SMBA Programs Committee. He also serves on the Board of the Washington Association of Mortgage Professionals. Joe enjoys traveling extensively, spending time with friends, and is involved with several non-profit organizations. Krumbach is an alumnus of Pasco High School, Columbia Basin College, and Washington State University.

This committee obtains donations for the annual fundraising auction, and makes all arrangements for the auction. They also help arrange the toy drive at Christmas and the food drive at Thanksgiving.
